You're A good Pony, Blackjack. by Serafin-VD You're A good Pony, Blackjack. by Serafin-VD

Well I have a problem. I can't draw WELL. I can only draw quickly. I drew up the sketch before my first period class started... I just can't find it in me to take the time for detail. I mean... dat background... ew. Anyway enough about me.

TL;DR: I suck.

Enough whining! I will re do this picture someday.

Minor to Major Spoilers if you haven't gotten past chapter 20 (?) in Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons.

The scene on the sea horse where BJ almost shot Glory cause BJ's a crazy pony? That was pretty cool. I did get a little miffed that she dropped Cupcake's revolver though. But as it were, Vigilance. I was pretty sad when BJ found out her mother died though... I was angry that she didn't grieve it more and instead lezzed out with Glory I MEAN COME ON.

Also the contrabass thing... Pet peeves... I think I've grown to just... NOT like Blackjack. I dunno. I don't like her. But I'll be damned if I don't draw more of her as I keep reading.

Blackjack and Morning (Fallen?) Glory belong to Somber.
Fallout Equestria belongs to Kkat.

Edit: How this has as many views as it does... I'll never know. Thanks :3

Can you blame her? Doing the same kind of job you hate over and over and over through out the same place that's been controlled by retarded over mares, having to be ignored & avoided by non-security ponies, be picked on by security ponies, and to have your mother who ends up having to ignore you half of the time to do her job so she won't get shot in the face or punished such a thing(which is pretty messed up, I think the over mare deserved what she got) could turn anyone into a butt. :P

The way she conducts herself as well as she treats her comrades up to that point makes her a butt. Her upbringing doesn't have much of a sway because she was as bad as any other security. Her ignorance costed lives. All in all, she was a well written character due to her flaws, at least up until the point I stopped reading. Up until Somber started to play on my pet peeves, and mary suing and terminatoring. But that's another rant long lost in the recesses of my rant bank.

You mean when he went all "drama and insanity for the world!" in the story? I haven't gotten to that part yet, I'm still on the second chapter, but I'm not really glad about that. I mean, FoE is meant to be dramatic and dark, but judging by the people who read PH, Somber when off the deep end with "drama and darkness" when it came to that part. Other than that, I know she was terrible at her job and that her ignorance costed lives, but think about it. It was her first invasion, she had no idea how to deal with it and she didn't know how to deal with any future attacks or invasions or whatever. She also hated her job and hated the over mare for coming up with such a lame way to give ponies they're jobs. But then again, I'm still only on the second chapter so I don't know much of what happened. So basically what I'm saying is probably spuds in a toilet right now. lol

Thanks, I like crazy Blackjack a lot. The whole "Dealer" part is really well done and I give Somber some serious kudos for him.

Dune. A pretty important science fiction novel from 1965.

It's not, evidently, better than everything. But it's definitely better than Project Horizons.

Oh yeah! I've seen the book in my Special Ed class, it didn't really catch my eye of attention like the books I read.

Very neat image here. The expressions work successfully in showing the intensity of emotion in both characters, particularly Blackjack. Advice on the gun has already been mentioned; other than that, I'd say to perhaps lower the horizons line of the background to about Glory's eye level. It would help give the perspective a better impression and make it seems like BLackjack is more dominating. Other than that, a really nice piece. :) good work.

I won't lie, this became hilarious to me since I was linked this, and just saw the name first, so I came into this basically humming the ever cheerful 'You're a good man, Charlie Brown', only to be greeted by Blackjack with a revolver to somepony's head. Talk about mood whiplash.

Pretty cool image! I really, really have to get around to reading PH some day.

The handle does indeed look quite bent. I understand why though. If it were straight it would cover blackjacks eye and we don't want that. Maybe the revolver could get a little shorter. Overall, I like it! Especially Glorys expression. I think you nailed it quite good.

Yeah, BJ tends to have her moments. And trust me, it is going to be even more bizarre in the oncoming chapters. But then again, she has some pretty funny moments, too.

Overall it's pretty good, the only thing that bugs me is the revolver, the barrel and cylinder are good, but the frame and grip are wonky, it looks like it's folding into itself.

I tried to make the revolver handle mouth gripped, I definitely did a bad job of foreshortening and it looks, like you said, folding.

Yeah, I haven't really seen too many ponified weapons that looked good, probably best just to draw it normally since it's being used by a unicorn anyway.
